World's most expensive bike is... A photo

Or rather, a silkscreen print

THERE'S no doubt that of all the iconic motorcycle images, Marlon Brando leaning on his 1950 Triumph Thunderbird 6T in full The Wild One garb is right up there. But now a copy of that famous photo is expected to cross Christie's New York auction block for an incredible $20 million (£12.5m) in November.

Of course it's not just any old print but an Andy Warhol silkscreen, titled 'Marlon'. Photographed during the filming of 1953's The Wild One, it was given the Warhol treatment 13 years later, in 1966.

So, an iconic image reworked by a legendary artist. But $20 million? And is it art?
