American rider loses control of Harley and causes wildfire

A HARLEY-DAVIDSON rider caused a wildfire after crashing and burned around 3,000 acres of land in Mid-Columbia, USA.

Timothy Wilson, 52, was riding with a passenger when he lost control of his Harley in the Rattlesnake Hills area of Hanford.

Firefighters were able to subdue the blaze using bulldozers to construct a fire break and two helicopters and a small tanker plane were used to fight the flames from above.

Wilson and his passenger were taken to a nearby hospital.
