Forcefield launch industry first suit at Intermot

FORCEFIELD has launched an industry first one-piece body armour suit at Intermot 2018.

The Sport Suit is constructed of a breathable, moisture-wicking base layer material and features 9 armour pockets and a front zip entry. While back protection of CE2 is included as standard, riders will be able to choose from two armour options - Isolator CE1 or CE2 – elsewhere, allowing flexibility in terms of price, and armour characteristics.

The suit is designed for use under leathers on track, or as an adventure base layer. Riders planning to wear it on track should opt for the thicker CE2 armour, while adventure riders who ride off road in hot conditions, may well chose the CE1 option as it’s thinner and lighter and offers greater breathability. A compression fit keeps the amour in place on the body, making it less likely to move in an impact, in comparison with armour positioned in the outer garment.

The British protection manufacturer also launched its new A.R. Shirt and A.R. Knee Protectors – designed for use by adventure and enduro riders (A.R. standing for abrasion resistant). Both items are available with either CE1 or CE2 level protection and feature abrasion resistant material on points likely to come into contact with the ground. The jacket, which is similar to the brand’s pre-existing Pro Shirt XV – features additional ‘padding’ around the abdomen side area, while the knee guards also feature extra padding around the side. The areas behind the knee and under the armpits are left open to reduce heat and allow for better movement.

Finally, Forcefield revealed its new ‘Race Ready’ Chest Protector and ‘Freefit’ Back Insert. Both are CE1 items and feature a three-layer construction providing excellent ‘free fitting’ flexibility.
