HONDA'S recently revealed CB4 Interceptor Concept may have minimalist styling but the technology it features will be anything but, this official promo video suggests.
It tells us it will have a 'clean energy' supply, using a wind turbine to power a touchscreen dash with sat nav and mobile phone connectivity, plus the ability to make emergency calls.
So it's using an engine to create motion to create 'clean' electricity. Hmm.
Specifications haven’t been confirmed but Honda has said it’s ‘the result of ongoing research around the Neo Sports Café’. That’s the concept that preceded the 2018 CB1000R, a super-naked with some retro flavour.
If the CB Interceptor Concept is based on that – as it appears to be – then it’s got an old-Fireblade-derived engine, and turning it into a production model should be easy.
Given that’s what happened with the Neo Sports Café/CB1000R, there seems every chance we'll see a production version of the CB4 Interceptor next autumn.
