COVENTRY based manufacturer Arc Vehicle will introduce what they claim is the world’s first fully-electric café racer with Human Machine Interface (HMI) to the public on 6th November at the EICMA show in Italy.

The makers state the bike is the next evolution of electric motorcycling and is more than just a high-performance electric bike. Arc claim the Vector is set to become 'the most fulfilling, safest and cleanest bike on the road.' Be

Arc CEO, Mark Truman, previously headed up Jaguar Land Rover’s Whitespace department – think Skunkworks but just based off the A46! –  and is joined in the venture by a MotoGP chief engineer and an FEA analyst (engineering problem solver and all-round boffin) to drive the project from concept and development stage, through to production. The project has been running for two years with Arc Vehicle Ltd being established 18 months ago.

Mark Truman, CEO, Arc Vehicle Ltd said: “Technology, performance, safety and experience come together like never before on two wheels. The Vector is more than just the world’s most premium electric motorcycle; it’s the world’s first motorcycle with integrated multi-sensory HMI (Human Machine Interface), it’s an innovative heads-up display helmet and it’s a tactile riding suit – all making up the most involving motorcycle experience on the market today.”

The teaser image shown at the top of the page cuts an interesting silhouette when compared to the other bikes in the electric motorcycle market, where most manufacturers follow the styling cues of their petrol powered brethren. The Vector is distinctly different with what looks like Bimota Tesi 3d style hub-centre steering and a front shock mounted where you’d expect the crankcase of a normal bike to be. Add to that ‘banana’ shaped swingarm and what looks like a monocoque construction and you have probably the most striking bike to hit the internet since the crazy (and never seen on the road) Lotus C-01!

We are currently waiting for an interview with the CEO Mark Truman - stay tuned.

Arc Vehicle Ltd will be situated in Hall 15, Booth S27, at this year’s EICMA show in Milan. The display will span a 97.5sq. m area and will feature a specially-designed, state-of-the-art stand with three open sides showcasing what the brand is all about, along with the bike itself. Vector promises to be the most exciting and innovative launch at this year’s EICMA show and a virtual reality experience will be available for attendees to immerse themselves into riding the Arc Vector.

More details will be announced in the run-up to EICMA on 6th November.
