Aprilia RSV4 Factory Works kit boosts power to 215hp

And shaves 10kg off weight

Aprilia RSV4 Factory Works kit boosts power to 215hp

ALREADY making a claimed 201hp, weighing 180kg dry and packed with cutting-edge electronics, Aprilia’s RSV4 is seldom accused of needing sharpening up.

But Aprilia has got the sharpener out anyway, in the form of a ‘Factory Works’ kit for track use which will let owners boost their RSV4’s power to 215hp and shave 10kg off the weight.

It includes new pistons and heads plus a full race exhaust system, the latter contributing to both the power increase and weight loss.

Further weight is shed via a lighter lithium battery, new fuel tank, carbon parts and more.

The kit can also include winglets developed on the RS-GP prototype in MotoGP.

The kit is an extension of Aprilia’s Factory Works programme, launched in 2016 to build competition-spec RSV4s for racers and members of the public alike.

It was announced at this week’s Eicma motorcycle show in Milan, along with new graphics for the RSV4 RF and Tuono V4 1100 Factory.

Price is yet to be announced.
