No tech changes, but a fresh look for some of Triumph’s favourites

Triumph unveil new colours for 2018

TRIUMPH has revealed a selection of new colours for the remainder of 2018 with fresh style for its Modern Classics and the Street Triple RS.

Starting with the retro machines, the range-topping Thruxton R gains a new ‘Competition Green’ (a kind of British racing green) instead of Matt Black. It has got to be a move in the right direction for a bike like that, particularly since green goes so well with the gold of its Ohlins suspension.

The similarly-engined Bonneville T120 also gets new colours, with a two-tone ‘Fusion White and Aegean Blue’ replacing the previous Cranberry Red and Aluminium Silver option. And the Bonneville T120 Black is now offered in Matt Black, as its name suggests, rather than the somewhat incongruous Matt Graphite (surely it should have been called the T120 Grey?)

Speaking of grey, that’s what the old ‘Ironstone’ colour that was offered on the Bonneville Bobber really was. Now it’s gone, replaced by a rather military-looking Khaki Green. Just add a leather rifle holder for the full WW2 look…

On the modern side of things, the Street Triple RS swaps its old Matt Silver Ice scheme for a new Crystal White option, and the Matt Black is replaced by a shiny version, Phantom Black.
