Suzuki recalls GSX-S125 and GSX-R125 for potential bolt probs

Weak frame painting could loosen engine mount bolts - 552 British bikes recalled

GSX-R125 and GSX-S125

AN UNUSUAL recall from Suzuki - the Japanese firm has found a potential problem with the engine mount bolts on its GSX-S125 and GSX-R125 range. Apparently, the paint on the frame near the bolts can be damaged by engine heat and vibration, and the resulting wear can cause the bolts to loosen very slightly, increasing the chance of failure. It's only a potential problem - Suzuk GB says no UK customer bikes have been affected as yet - so the action is a preventative step.

Owners will get a notification from the DVSA, and dealers will replace the bolts and repair the paint finish in the appropriate area, free of charge.
