MotoGP tickets and DOC passes to be won in charity draw

SILVERSTONE’S Day of Champions is an integral part of the British motorcycling calendar.

Taking place the Thursday before the British GP, it gives racing fans the chance to get close to the stars of MotoGP, all in the name of charity. The event, which is now in its 29th year, culminates in a charity auction when fans get to see their heroes in the flesh on the main stage.

The funds raised are used to ensure health workers in rural Africa have reliable modes of transport to carry out their life-saving work.

Andrea Coleman, co-founder of Two Wheels for Life, said: “One of the reasons I started Day of Champions was because I loved the idea of bringing the champions of the sport together with the fans. And the riders love it. They come along out of goodwill, nobody makes them come, they do it because they care about the fans and they care about raising money for our work, bringing vital health care to those who need it.”

During DOC a limited number of fans are allowed into the paddock to watch the riders preparing for the race, however these paddock passes sold out within hours of being released.

But, one lucky racing fan can still get their hands on a pair through the Two Wheels for Life British GP Prize Draw. The winner will get two paddock passes for Day of Champions on Thursday 23 August, plus tickets for the entire Silverstone race weekend on 24, 25 and 26 August.
