Now that Honda's VFR800 has been discontinued, it's long and successful reign as the best selling and best sports tourer has sadly come to an end. Ever since the original VFR was launched back in 1986, it was a phenomenal seller as it carved out a new genre and market by combining the sports and touring fields in one package. It has been face-lifted and evolved hugely over time, but it's distinctive look and design characteristics remain at its core.
The final edition 800cc features ABS brakes as standard along with switchable traction control, integrated factory fitted heated handle-bar grips and even by design allows the installation of pannier cases without any additional fittings. They come the standard side-stand option and the centre, or main stand as well. Although not shown in the photos, they also come with the factory colour-coded pillion seat converter cowl which replaces passenger seat to enhance the sporty look.
This outstanding example of the final edition was supplied by us here at Doble Motorcycles at the end of September 2017. It remains a 1 owner bike and is in flawless condition throughout. The owner has invested in a pair of R&G Engineering's Aerodynamically shaped frame and body protectors. Finished in Honda's Pearl Victory Red Metallic colour option with bronze coloured cast wheels and matching engine cases, it looks absolutely beautiful and one thing is for sure, it looks even better in the flesh and better still in the sunshine where you get to see the deep pearl metallic pigment to it.
