Hardly a day goes by when you don't get to see a Honda SH125 pass you on the streets of Britain and this is no surprise given that they're used by the majority of fast food delivery companies such is their reliability, build quality and ease of use. The SH125 has been a runaway success for Honda, so they continue to evolve it with features and keep on top of the styling for a more modern look.
Freshly face-lifted in 2020 the current model SH125 is one of the most appealing machines in the market place. It comes with LED lights, a fully digital display dash and benefits from a 50% increase in the under-seat storage well. In 2021 Honda also introduced the Deluxe variant, which is what we have here. This brings another dimension to it with the 'Smart key' top-box case as standard. Using the integrated remote-key ignition fob, you have control of the luggage case access without the need for a conventional key. Much like a car. once it's locked on the fob, it is secured in position and locked for security. Another standard offering on the SH125 is the 'idle-stop' feature which kills the ignition while stationary and simply starts once the throttle is twisted.
This barely used example was first supplied by us here at Doble Motorcycles at the end of February this year to one of our regular and very likeable customers. He only had it for a few weeks and covered just 709 miles in that time. During the time he had it, he invested in a pair of heat adjustable handle-bar grips in place of the standard ones which remain in place for the new owner to take advantage of at no additional cost.
