BMW are always renowned for their build quality and performance, so when they launched their litre sports bike back in 2010 it was an immediate hit with the supersports bike buying fans. To follow this four years later, to exploit the new demand in naked muscle bikes, they introduced the S1000R and S1000R Sport.
The S1000R Sport edition is what we have her. It features BMW's sports quick-shifter, 4 riding modes, which is 2 more than the standard machine has. It has the more sophisticated Dynamic Traction Control, LED indicators all round, a colour-matched belly-pan and Dynamic Damping Control semi-active suspension too. With a rev limit of 12000rpm and the peak power output is 160bhp, it's far more than just an S1000RR with the fairings ripped off and a flat, one-piece bar bolted to the top yoke.
Equipped with ABS brakes, this outstanding example of the S1000R Sport finished in the striking Diamond White Metallic colour option. With only 15k miles on the clock it has been cherished from the outset and has been well serviced throughout. The owner has replaced the standard exhaust with a titanium Akrapovic system with a real carbon-fibre end cap, silencer strap and hanger. It has a whole host of R&G Racing embellishments and even the original number plate mount has gone too, this has been replaced with the all important tail-tidy and there is an S1000R specific tank protector in position as well.
