Down Under Track Days

Having finally tired of UK life (weather, cost of biking, etc ad nauseam), I can report that the track scene here in Australia is alive! And it's SO much cheaper than back home. Any VD riders who make it this far, pack your leathers and helmet, check out championsridedays.com.au and get yourself on track on one of their bikes. I've just had a blast at Oran Park, on an immaculate GSXR600K3 (they have a K4 too!), replete with tyre warmers and all the help I could wish for, they even give riders free tea, coffee and mineral water (note to TD organisers in the UK?). The whole day cost me around 200 quid, tyres, petrol, everything was included. The track day scene here is pretty relaxed, as per life generally, the weather is reliable and, best of all, there's Phillip Island!!! If you come all this way for a holiday, it would be a shame to miss out on the bike scene here. Mind you, don't ride on the roads, at least in Sydney - the driving is shocking, the roads atrocious and the police Nazis.
Hope to see a few Poms making up the numbers over here - by the way, the standard of riding is pretty high!!
PS Alex, don't kill yourself! I was at Brands too - it ain't a computer game.....
