Talkback: Yamaha Cygnus X 125 (2004 - present)

BEWARE OF FUEL PUMP PROBLEMS AFTER THREE TO FOUR YEARS. THE SYMPTOMS ARE THAT THE BIKE WILL NOT START IF LEFT OUT IN THE SUN. IT STARTS OK AFTER IT COOLS DOWN. A REPLACEMENT FUEL PUMP IS EXPENSIVE.

This scooter suits as it is light and responds with two people realy well ---   But !! when you ride it in the every day heat ... the fuel pump just cuts out leaving you to push it a long way home -- and as an older person this is extremely bloody frustrating -- and when YAMAHA is contacted you get no reply  ----- To YAMAHA , sirs get off your shiney arses and get your product back up to the standard your products were -- Len Prossor

Yes, this problem i have experienced  twice in the last three weeks. After a long push to the petrol garage and a refill. it starts again. After the hot morning  sun has taken its toll.

I was riding my yamaha cygnus x125 back from,  work yesterday it was fine until i hit 50mph engine management light flashed and lost all power any ideas
