The Fisherman's Inn now renamed "The Grape Press" by a bunch of Italian arseholes who also own the "Bella Visita" a few miles down the road. How the f****can you change the heritage of two famous places by giving them stupid Italian names that do not fit in with Lancashire culture? Maybe we should go to Napoli and re-name "La Bella Trattoria" to Gladys's "Chomping House."

Thats another Kent meet I think at Barham near Canterbury. Been there once with Scottland who will probably be able to comment on that more than I. Oakdene is here

Yup, Kent Motorcycles at Barham, nr Canterbury every Wednesday throughout the Summer...seen hundreds of bikes there on a warm night, some reasonable riding roads around there too and it's pretty much in the arse end of nowhere so very little worry about people complaining. They do burgers and stuff, the bike shop stays open and the car parks pretty level and totally tarmacked. Map hereIs the Merry Chest up near Bluewater still going? Been there a few times, it's ok as well!

Willingham Woods (just through Market Rasen) Wednesday nights Bad points - not a cafe just a place selling expensive tea etc. Never any toilet paper in the ladies and the tea 'hut' is closed from November till MarchGood points - good place to meet up for ride outs around Lincs, Yorks.Wetwang - lovely home made food, reasonably priced. Terrible car park and closed December / JanuarySeaways (Fridaythorpe) - reasonable prices, indoor & outdoor seating. Good parking & perfectly situated for a stop off up to Whitby and beyondSquires - good points, pleanty of places inside & out to sit, reasonable prices and some nice roads if you know where to look.Bad points - boring roads if you don't know where the good ones are And if anyone knows of one in Doncaster .... I would love to know

Abel how about the Wirral Egg Run www.wirraleggrun.co.uk/welcome_1.htm I know it is only once a year but it is a good cause, I am arranging with my local club to meet up at my pub for this year's run, you are welcome to come up and ride it with use if you are not arranging a ride from your end. Most do go the Tap in Eastham Ferry. The Tap is one of the main meet up points on the Wirral for biker's especially in the evenings for the local stunt riders.Another good one is the train station in Llanrwst and the Ponderosa cafe on Saturdays and Sundays.

Is that the one in the trees just off the roundabout?

You mentioned Box Hill - generally a group of Supermoto people meet there on Sundays, so you can check out the thread each week. I have a road bike, so have gone down to Box with them, had a nice cuppa and then gone off on a different ride with some road bike people. There are some great places to ride near there and I am sure you'd be more than welcome.

Wetwang is on the York -> Brid road. The place you think of is about 3 miles away and has a grand little Cafe. I used to meet Paddyx there

Ere Abel, when are you going to buy me that burger, then?

Hopefully get my bike from Gedge's at the weekend mate, so any time after that there isn't ice on the ground.

Aye, that's the baby. And the filth often set speed traps about a mile further up the road. Word soon spread and it was only fair to 'wave' to others on bikes as you scoffed yer fly pie

Is that the one like on the top of the hill. There's a great ride around that area which gradually climbs up the hill till you get a pub on the brow. Stopped there for brekkie one day... was closed

Yeah I just don't like crowds of any kind, even bikers.

Sometimes, but I haven't been known for my attendance on ride outs for the past 2 years, I'm generally too busy diving at weekends.I'm hoping to get out a bit more this year

Anyone mentionned Ogri's cafe? Food is second to none. Well, it's better than Box Hill.

High Beech is just up the road from me, but i rarely go - just a bunch of blokes looking at bikes & supping tea - too much mud for stunting

Go to the dick turpin with the other nobs if you want to stunt... Burnham is always a fair ride out. More blokes just looking at bikes and supping tea tho.. Oh and stunting down the lanes, probaly Melons!....

That would be Fimber. Wetwang gets people congregating at the chippy near the village pond and I think there may also be a pub there.

Anyone mentioned the market place in Helmsley?
