like buying a cheap lid, innit a £50 lid means your head is worth about £50

So a £600 Teknic violator suit is cheap is it?Ive had two Teknic one piece suits and think they are well made and good quality hide but the sizing and cut are not the best. Ive had one Violator and my latest one is a chicane.

Is that the cheapest suit they do? Is it the mid priced suit in their range? I must confess to thinking they were at the bargain end of babygrows

I have one I use for trackdays. I've tested it out a couple of times on the road too. The stitching isn't great and has needed repairing a few times due to a combination of crashing and wear and tear. Reasonably comfortable and light but only good for summer days because of the vents. Needs a jacket over the top on cool days.It was £500 new apparently,I bought it for £150 second hand and hardly used..but it is now.

I've got a Teknic 2 piece suit - it's great. Cost me £3-400 so not cheap. I find them great so far.

How many times you crashed in them?

I have an old red/black set (see sig), I bought them secondhand for £100 when I started racing. They lasted me a season and a half and three major crashes (high speed and even got run over during one of them) and prevented any serious injury, not even a break. Had to retire them eventually as they were so tatty, but I still have them on the wall in the garage. They're so battle-scarred that I just can't throw em away! I'd recommend them on m experience with them, although that was a different, older suit.

Marc a 'racer' mate of mine was sponsored by a company that supplied his leathers, teknic's. They always fitted and crashed well, plus he still uses and rates them. HTH

Crashed a few times in my Speedstar suit, till the last time when it was cut off me, I'd have them again

Haven't tried their leathers, but I'm a HUGE fan of their textile suits, which I have crash tested.

I've bounced down the road in

I've bounced down the road in Teknic jeans and they did a good job. Still my go to pants in summer.

Textile suits

There textile suits are good, got a pair as a gift.
