Matter Of Emergency

If any sees or could you keep a look out for a white bublo van y195 kag,
Its White, says Elite Cleaning on side, with phone number etc - on both sides and back, last seen in Beverley, East Yorkshire between 12-3am yesterday, and that is possibly hidden off the main roads, although may still be in transit, cant go into details, but this is serious, contact the police asap, thanks, can you just boing this every now and again to keep it on page thanks.

Alan

Elite Cleaning?Does the word 'Cleaning' peel off to reveal 'Bike Stealing' or something..

Nope nothing to do with bike thieft, can you make this a sticky please and can everyone have a look out for said van, thank youand contact police with any details you have,

A bit cloak and dagger...me thinx...how can you just flippantly say look out for this van, when in our minds its done no wrong, if you perhaps could let us know basically what has happened, how do we know you haven't just got a grudge against cleaning vans...

Actually genuinely funny!

Whilst we're on the subject. If anyone sees a black, shabby looking cat - squash it. Or ring the police.Cheers.

Could you give us the number of the police station that's dealing with this pls? IME if you call your local rozzers about an incident in another forces' area then they'll tell you to call the station that's dealing with it. Either that or say 'thanks very much for letting us know' and then not doing anything about it.

This is a serious thread, ive asked for a sticky, can you also remove the shite replies please, cos i dont find them funny, i told you i cant go into detail, but it is serious,

I think you would find that if you gave just a little more information and a phone number as requested, then people on here would be only too willing to help.

Ok if you see said van ring 999, is that really to hard???

Are... but if you have your phone upside down then you could be ringing 666....Now give us more information, then our shite replies will not be so apparent...thank you

A van just drove by with 'Elite Couriers' on the side. That's close enough for me, so who do I ring and how long until the cash reward is in my bank account?

Sarcy replies are going to be in evidence until we have some idea what's going on.Obviously you can't disclose too much information from a pending criminal case (if this is such) - but some idea of what the driver/van has done/about to do would be useful because it makes it a little less likely to be a prank. eg you could say that the can was involved in an RTA - without giving details that would be perfectly valid, and a good reason for people to call. If the guy has stiffed you for a cleaning bill or some such then it's less "life or death".I doubt it's a prank (before you have a go at me), but calling 999 is only for emergencies - calling an incident room is far more likely to be productive and will be less hassle for the police. I'm assuming you actually want the police ot be effective in this case? If so then an incident room number - or a station number at the least would make the police far more efficient, and the amount of paperwork later far less.Since I'm currently stuck in an office in Crowthorne, Berkshire I doubt I'll be of much use to you though.

Lets all take a day off, and have a jolly in North Yorkshire, searching for the alleged van

Rice not a prank, just call local police station like i said in the start, but that seemed to hard for most peeps to grasp, so i put 999 cos they may just remember that number, but no if said van spotted just call local police station and report where sighted, and ask them to refer it to Humberside Police cheers

trust me when i say there will be a time when you come a cropper and i will be the first to take the piss big time no matter what it is, or how sad it may be,

Great BTW, everybody has asked for a fe clues. so why are you refusing to tell ?Surely it can't be a secret ?

Just seems a bit difficult to call 999 or the police and say: "I'm doing this because somebody I've never seen, spoken to, or know the name of told me to over the Internerd".What can we tell them that will make them listen and take action, knowing that sometimes they have competing priorities?

its a missing persons case, just report said van to local police and ask them to refer to humberside police,

OK, so it is serious, so I am sorry if caused offenceBut why didn't you just say this in the first place ?

You sound like a nice man.Is there a reward?Seriously, mebbe if you just said this van is wanted in regards to a theft/abduction/robbery/shooting/whatever you'd get much more interest and less piss-taking.

Ok Spoon I'm doing you a favour by boinging this back up the list but had you completed the post like you did in the other forum, ie

its a missing person enquiry, thanks

That might have had a slightly different effect. I suppose you realise that with every reply this thread gets its boing'ed which is better than none at all, so just who are the tossers

Were they sucked up in the hoover?

Sorry ole bean, I shall be on the look out for a bublo van (although I have searched high n low on the net, to find what one of those vans looks like, but to no avail..)Is it similar to a transit size or a small citreon type ?But I am in the South East so, probably no help at all...but you never know

Do you mean a Fiat Doplo?

If the van's suspected as abandoned maybe a description of the missing person would be of more use now?

new keyboard please eyes peeled,

Im in Nottingham, although stuck in an office all day i am off to Donington tonight so will keep an eye out (its not far from the airport).Hope everything is ok

A few of us are going for a ride around East Yorkshire tonight, but I've done a search for a bublo (like everyone else in here I guess), and drawn a blank.Got a note of the reg. number though.

I've asked the delivery guys down stairs and they have never heard of a Bublo van, and they use many a different type...It would be a damn sight easier to search for something, if you knew what you were looking for, otherwise yer staring at all the white vans out there...blimin eke you see a white van every few seconds on the M25/M23...

sorry guys if i have posted the wrong type of van it could well be a spelling mistake, its the info i have, i know nothing of vans its a smallish van, prob more like a car sized van with the box type back, and has elite cleaning all over it, many thanks to those who have helped and when travelling will look, thanks againALan
