Expanding Foam in exhaust?

I was told expanding foam in a car exhaust tailpipe would be less than pleasant for the driver. is this true?

Depends.Shaving foam expands but is hardly life threatening...

For revenge purposes... A big blob of exhaust putty shoved in a warm tailpipe with a broom handle would be worse.

Chippie foam is what youre after

More likely to blow an exhaust seal than the engine.Amateur.

Expanding foam when in direct contact with carbon monoxide forms cyanide which will filter into the vehicle as the exhaust is blocked. If you want to avoid a manslaughter charge, I'd suggest keeping expanding foam well away from exhaust silencer pipes. On the other hand, it does make a very good comedy dessert topping which can be used for practical jokes or revenge attacks - often resulting in side-splitting broken teeth or a dislocated jaw for the hapless victim.

If you put enough in there is a more than fair chance of splitting the exhaust. It's amazing stuff ,it holds in most of the plastic windows you see ( the fitters shove a few screws in for a laugh) but I've seen it bust the windows before. I always wondered what would happend if you.....ooh I dunno......drilled a hole in a speed camera and emptied a tin into it

I would like to mention this is for informational purposes only...

I've used 2 part expanding foam to make foam heads and there is no way it will split an exhaust.Quite exciting stuff too, mix part 1 with part 2, stir well, then you have about 15 seconds to get it into the mould and clamp it down before it expands all over the room

I cant remember him asking for a way to blow an engine , just cause unpleasantries !

can't see blocking an exhaust causing great problems, after a couple of minutes the engine would probably stop if the gas can't get out.can't see any deaths occurring.

yep , blocked an exhaust with a potato once and thats all that happened it ran for a few seconds and stopped , too much back pressure

So if the aim is the ruin the car's performance, would the best bet to place a small tube in the pipe to allow some exhaust, and foam-fill around it?

or foam fill one fo those hunting duck-whistles into the exhaust for comedy value. QUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

I bought something like that from a joke shop. Just a simple cap which fits over the end of the exhaust pipe with a small hole which creats a whistle..Funny as fook !

What's the idea, DIY restrictor?

Has anyone asked why, if you want to make the drive unpleasent, why not put a fresh makrel near the aircon intake in the engine bay. Worked a treat in a friends Nova, especially after a week or so. Fookin stunk, on the outside as well.

Can't even see the thing starting, a spud would have the same affect.

The topic came up in discussion about methods of revenge to take on someone that messed with you on the road, if one were to follow them and not want to assult, what would be the best thing to do to their car... Hypothetical of course...

Poke a shotgun cartridge up the exhaust until it drops into the silencer, sit back and wait for the exhaust to heat up from the headers back. Should be a few miles away before the silencer shits itself (driver too methinks).

What will happen if I put a

What will happen if I put a High-Powered Aerosol Can Bomb with Household Items in a moto tank or in the exhaust??
