Rideouts: Scotch Mist

Route 7. North Scotland

Tore A835

Start at Tore, north of Inverness on the A835. It's a magical road this. It's a twisty route that finally opens up wee bit when you get past Garve. The surface also starts to improve as does the visibility ahead.

When you pass The Aultguish Inn the road heads upwards and spreads out a bit as it skirts the side of Loch Glascarnich. The wide, straight parts to this route really sucker you into riding fast at three-figure speeds, so do behave! There's lots of activity from the Polis, so you have been warned.

If you like your wildlife, check out the Corriesshalloch Gorge and the Falls of Measach on the nearby A832. There's a great catering van here too so enjoy!

From here the pace slackens a little, towards Ullapool. There's a camp site at the end of the village near the ferry terminal and plenty of bed and breakfast options should you want to stay overnight
