Tucano Urbano announces its 2016 Spring-Summer collection

New range of riding clothing takes inspiration from the elements

WITH winter starting to loosen its grip, Tucano Urbano has just announced its latest collection of kit to take you through the spring and into summer.

The range of clothing, which includes jackets, gloves and a helmet, takes inspiration from the elements. The range is designed to be a stylish and practical way of meeting the everyday needs of people who use two wheels to get around.

Air

Designed to keep you cool in the city under the blazing sun, the Air range includes the men’s mesh Straforo jacket (£269.99), which comes complete with CE-approved D30 armour and space for a back protector.

The women’s equivalent is the Marlon (£129.99), which is a technical jacket with mesh inserts, although women also have the option of the Selvaggio jacket (£144.99) as well. Both have a removable, showerproof windbreaker inner lining to help fend off the rain.

The Tucanji jacket (£109.99) also makes a return this year, and it’s been given an update design so now it includes a fully waterproof with breathable outer shell to ensure excellent ventilation thanks to the aeration system located on the back and on the central zip.

Tucano Urbano also has a new helmet for riders who want to feel the wind on their face. The El’mettin (£99.99) has a polycarbonate shell and includes a sun visor. It’s available in four colours - two matt, anthracite grey and biking red, and two shiny, turquoise green and icy white.

Water

‘Water’ is made up of three waterproof jacket and trousers sets, designed to deal with unexpected weather conditions. Tucano Urbano says they’re for every type of scooter rider and motorcyclist, and each set is approved as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) under class 1 in accordance with CE EN 343:2008 standard.

The Diluvio set (£96.99) is designed to offer maximum breathability, waterproofness, visibility and performance. The Diluvio Plus set (£59.99) has been designed in mind for anyone who frequently uses a motorbike or scooter to get around and also carries the same CE marking. Last but not least comes the Diluvio Easy set (£44.99) – a jacket and trouser combo for occasional use that till offer protection against the rain.

The Nano Rain Plus jacket (£42.99) is a more technical jacket that can be stowed in a small space and is compatible with the Panta Nano Plus trousers (£34.99).

Earth

The Pol jacket (£134.99) takes inspiration from browns, green and textured earthy colours and comes in a waxed cotton canvas fabric. The short cuff leather Gig and New Shorty gloves have also been created in the same vein.

Fire

The kit in the fire range all come in red and includes the light, windproof Febo (£79.99) and Demetra jackets (£32.99), along with the Adamo (£32.99) and Eva Guant (£32.99) leather gloves with elasticized back.
