DUCATI has announced that the Streetfighter V4 range has gained Euro5 certification and it is celebrating with a new colour for the model.

With the birth of the bike only taking place last year, the Streetfighter not making Euro5 would have been a bit of an own-goal for the Italian manufacturer. Luckily for fans of the bonkers naked from Borgo Panigale can relax as the engineers have factored in at least a few Euro regulation updates into the equation.

The bike retains the same power and torque figures too, although these are now achieved different revs. The peak power of 208hp is now achieved at 13,000rpm (250rpm higher than before), while peak torque of 90lb-ft arriving at 9,500rpm, 2,000rpm lower in the rev range than the Euro4 model.

To get around the new rules, Ducati has opted to use larger catalysts in the exhaust and changed the materials used to enable the unit to better gobble up the engine’s pollutants. The rear bank of cylinders now run a revised manifold which is shorter and narrower than the Euro4 model of the bike.

The most noticeable change in the dealerships will come in the form of a new paint scheme joining the fold. The new colour is called Dark Stealth and is only available on the Streetfighter V4 S model. For those looking to add this to their garage in 2021, you’ll be paying just £300 more than the stock bike - £20,295.
