MOTO GUZZI has announced updated versions of its successful V4 range, with the Stone and Special gaining extensive updates for 2021.

The V7 is Moto Guzzi’s longest continually running model, with versions of the classically styled naked rolling off the Mandello del Lario production line for over fifty years. For 2021 though, Moto Guzzi has switched up the game, boosting the bike’s power, torque, and equipment to levels not seen before from the model.

The engine in the new bikes is a close derivative to the one found in the previous bikes, although extensive updates have been applied. The powerplant is now 850cc up from 744cc. The capacity hike is helping to make the 2021 models more powerful than before, producing 25% more power and taking the bike from 52hp to 65hp. Moto Guzzi has also managed to increase peak torque, with the number increasing 44lb-ft, to 54lb-ft. Moto Guzzi is also claiming that the engine has access to 80% of its torque available from 3,000rpm.

To deal with the extra power and torque of the new V7, the bike has been fitted with a wider rear wheel and chunkier Kayaba rear shocks. Styling has also been given a tweak, with new side panels and a shortened rear mudguard helping to differentiate the new machine from the old.

Beneath the skin of the new V7 resides an updated frame that features additional steel elements around the headstock helping to improve stability. Rider comfort has also been improved for 2021, with a new seat, revised footpegs, and the new shocks being included on the bike.

V7 will also be available in a reduced-power version, in line with Italian A2 driver's license restrictions and ideal for new Guzzisti. It will also come standard with adjustable MGCT traction control (which can also be disabled).

V7 Stone is available in three satin-finish colour schemes: Nero Ruvido, Azzurro Ghiaccio, and Arancione Rame. The colour variants of the V7 Special, the version closes to the classic and elegant spirit of the original model, are Blu Formale and Grigio Casual.
