MV Agusta Superveloce Alpine | Lighter, faster, and more stunning

MV Agusta has teamed up with iconic carmaker Alpine to make a limited edition version of the Superveloce sports bike

PURVEYORS of Italian ‘Motorcycle Art’ MV Agusta has joined forces with renowned French automotive firm Alpine to create the Superveloce Alpine limited edition.

As is customary with MV’s celebrity hook-ups, numbers are very limited, with only 110 of the individually numbered machines being made available for order. And it goes without saying, if you have to ask how much, it’s probably out of your league.

And as with all of the other ‘special’ bikes that have rolled out of the Varese factory; simply looking stunning is bever enough.

On that front, the Superveloce Alpine is splattered with bespoke parts, go-faster goodies. Oh, and it’s dripping in carbon fibre.

Each of the 110 bikes will feature a numbered plaque and bespoke Alpine branding on the seat and fuel tank strap. The bikes will also all feature the classy blue/grey metallic paint scheme and ‘A’ badging, aping so many of Alpine race and rally cars.

Performance-wise, the engine in the Alpine is the same as that of the current crop of Euro5 800cc machines, meaning 147bhp, a 13,000rpm redline, and top-speed of around 150mph. But don’t think that has stopped MV and Alpine from trying to make the bike faster.

The machine comes with a plethora of go-faster parts, including a full-system exhaust and ECU kit – all supplied with the bike in kit form. They have also tried to make the Alpine a sharper handling machine than the current Superveloce, with carbon parts highlighting the extremities of the bike for the greatest physical benefit.

One interesting piece of news is that some of the strides made with the Alpine will be rolled out across all of MV’s current 800cc Euro5 models, Superveloce, Brutale, F3800, and Dragster. That means updated electronic IMU from continental, DLC coated engine internals, launch control, and Bluetooth connectivity are just some of the benefits on offer to new bike owners.

The final cherry on top for owners of the Alpine addition is the inclusion of what MV is calling a green box. It’s a tracking system that allows the owner to track the bike's location anywhere on the globe with their phone and the MV Agusta app. A must-have for any potential London-based owner!

And the price for all this exclusivity and design? €36,300…

Pricing in GBP is TBC.
