Triumph Bobber TFC announced

The Triumph Bobber has been given the TFC treatment with just 750 numbered special editions available worldwide

Triumph Bobber TFC announced

THE Triumph Bobber is the latest bike from Hinckley to get a sprinkling of TFC magic, as the bike now gets 10hp boost, more torque, 5kg weight savings and lashings of carbon fibre!

The new bike is limited to just 750 units worldwide, with each getting a numbered plaque adorning the left side of the slinky looking machined top yolk. The premium finishes don’t stop there either, as the new machine features top-spec kit from nose to tail. There are fully adjustable Öhlins front forks and rear shock, a first for a Bobber in standard trim. The bike is also fitted with Arrow end cans, Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers and Brembo MCS master cylinder.

Triumph Bobber TFC engine upgrade

The new Bobber TFC achieves 10 PS (9.8bhp) boost over the standard Bobber and Bobber Black. Internal upgrades include a low inertia crankshaft, clutch, balance shafts, dead-shafts, rare-earth alternator, magnesium cam cover, thin-walled engine covers and header pipes.

Along with the higher power, the new Bobber also produces more low-down torque, with an increase across the rev-range which peaks at 110Nm – 4 Nm higher than the standard bike. The Bobber TFC also has a 500 rpm higher redline, with a rev limiter now set at 7,500 rpm.

The lightest Triumph Bobber yet

Following the TFC ethos of more performance and reduced weight, the Bobber has been at the Atkins’ Diet and has managed to shed about 5kg when compared to the standard bike. The savings have been achieved by the above-mentioned engine refinements, carbon fibre bodywork, and a taillight removal.

The production version of the bike is going to be going through final homologation and type approval over the next few months, being completed in January 2020. Full details and specs will be available then and any of the blanks below will be known.
