Bolt-on Motokit transforms Ducati Scrambler into an edgy brute

Custom shop ‘Bad Winners’ from Paris has designed a bolt-on Motokit for the Ducati Scrambler motorcycle range which looks custom as heck.

Bad Winners Scrambler Motokit

French-based custom shop outfit Bad Winners has created a bolt-on Motokit for the entire Ducati Scrambler range, from 2015 to 2019. The kit is designed to be ready to install with no painting required. Pretty neat aye? Plus, no original parts on the Scrambler need to be modified, so, no need to whip out the angle grinder and make some sparks - this install is completely clean.

The Motokit - which is mostly handmade to order - comes in at €4,490 (around £4,000). This price is a fraction of the cost of a fully custom build and would be a whole lot less headache. But then again, some people love the journey and challenges experienced in custom a motorcycle build.

Ducati Svartpilen?

You guys and gals can be the authority on this one, but does the kit make the Ducati Scrambler look like a slightly more conventional Husqvarna Svartpilen? Either way, it looks cool - particularly in stealthy black-carbon - but some creative cues have been pilfered from the Husky, maybe?

What comes in the Motokit?

Speculation aside, the Motokit exterior body kit includes:

A short, flat cross-stitched leather seat

Panels can either be made of fibreglass or carbon fibre

8-litre aluminium fuel tank with matching tank cover

Two side rear and two under tank number panels

Finished in either white-yellow and a black-carbon

Performance-wise, the kit supplies a K&N high flow air filter paired with an SC Project stainless steel two-into-one exhaust - opening the lungs of the Scrambler for increased performance. The weighty lead battery can be swapped out for a lithium-Ion one, and bullet LED indicators are provided with a tail tidy for the licence plate.

As always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but there’s no doubt that this Motokit transforms the stock Scrambler into something that looks semi-custom. And to those who aren’t in the know, it would probably look full-custom.
