A Swiss motorcycle photographer has teamed up with a tuning company to create a fully carbon-clad Suzuki GSX-R1000 track day weapon.
The bike is the result of Swiss photographer and track day rider Raptik and motorcycle tuning company No Limit Tuning, who have spared no expense or time creating this stunning sports bike.
The already svelte looking fairings and bodywork of the Suzuki have been ditched, replaced with coarsely woven carbon fibre loveliness. The cast wheels have also been ditched, getting replaced with lightweight and strong items from ThyssenKrupp.
All up, the changes made to the machine have slashed the weight considerably, with the stunning looking machine tipping the scales at a claimed 175kg – 25kg less than the original bike’s weight.
The No Limit Tuning built machine isn’t the first fully carbon GSX-R1000 we’ve seen, in 2018 Suzuki Italy unveiled the €30,000 GSX-R1000R Ryuyo special, a limited edition of just 20 bikes that were caked in carbon parts and Yoshimura racing parts. With Suzuki Italy at the helm of this project the Ryuyo special weighed in at a featherweight 168kg and was producing 212bhp.
The work on Raptik’s machine isn’t finished yet though, the builder claims that a Ceracarbon sprocket, a carbon inlet funnel, and a 520 drive chain are still missing, all of which will shave vital grams from the already lightweight machine.
