13-TIME TT winner, Bruce Anstey has had a GoFundMe page set up by fellow TT racer, Adam Child, with a view to helping him back onto the grid for the Classic TT.

Bruce is known in the paddock as one of the friendliest and fastest racers, even holding the outright lap record at the TT in 2014 with a 17:6.6sec, 132.2mph lap.  Sadly, in April 2018, a statement was issued on the racer’s behalf stating that Anstey wouldn’t be racing that year due to illness. Bruce did take part in a parade lap on-board a Honda RC213V-S at the IoM Festival of Motorcycling in the same year although that’s as close to a racing return as he came.

The GoFundMe page set up for Bruce confirms he is again battling illness this year, it states: ‘Moving into 2019, Bruce is battling again, more illness struck at the end of last year, and the lovable New Zealander won’t make the grid this year, but he is hoping to be fit for the Classic TT.

‘But without racing, there isn’t an income, it’s the simple truth of racing. Bruce hasn’t raced now for over two years – which is why this GoFundMe page has been set up to get Bruce back to racing. Bruce is hoping to be back for the Classic TT, lets club together to make this possible.’
