The Honda Monkey Bike with plenty of attitude | K-Speed Customs

Thai motorcycle custom shop K-Speed has created an awesome Honda Monkey Bike which has got some serious stance.

Honda Monkey Bike | K-Speed Customs

This heavily modified Honda Monkey Bike is the mechanical love child of K-Speed customs owner, Eak.

K-Speed is normally renowned for creating special one-off custom machines that are a demonstration of their craftsmanship and specialist aftermarket parts. However, this micro build is different, because the Monkey has a special place in Eak’s heart - as he grew up riding them as a child. And although there are many custom bits available for the Monkey bike; this build is more for personal satisfaction.

His new creation, named ‘Gorilla Racer’, is based on a 2019-model 125cc Monkey. It has been slightly raised with the addition of 14” aftermarket wheels and alloy covers - giving the design a militant go-anywhere vibe. To match the rims, the forks have been lowered and twin YSS rear shocks added, which mount to a lightweight aluminium swingarm.

And no expense has been spared on the brakes, which have been upgraded to Brembo units. Because, why not?

Classic polished fenders have been fitted all-around, and the rear subframe shortened to accommodate a cafe-racer styled perched saddle. The rear is finished off with teardrop-shaped indicators and a smoked LED taillight.

Simplistic, yet effective, ABS plastic panels have been added to the fuel tank which makes the front end look more muscular. The standard tank still sits underneath. The lower bikini fairing - also ABS plastic - completes the small yet aggressive look of the bodywork.

The speedo remains the same, but the front 6.5” LED headlight has been custom mounted and finished off with an aftermarket grill. Also, the front handlebars have been replaced with clip-ons and simplified switches and the ignition key being relocated to under the seat.

Other features include:

  • CNC velocity stacks

  • CNC footpegs with carbon fiber heel plates

  • Lightweight chain and sprocket set

  • Custom Lambo grey and black paint scheme

  • Big-bore stubby exhaust

Imagine if these beauties were mass-produced? Would you be the first in line to buy one?
