HONDA’S CBR1000RR-R Fireblade has been making waves in the motorcycle media since its unveiling at the EICMA show back in November. With the most powerful engine ever in a ‘Blade, electronic suspension on the top-spec SP version, and aerodynamic winglets, the press and public are literally salivating at the prospect!

But one thing that we haven’t known is the price – until now! Here’s a high-level rundown of each machine, and what it’ll cost to have one sat in your garage this spring.

Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade specs and pricing

The ‘stock’ version of the new Honda is priced at £19,999.

The ‘ultra-compact’ EURO 5 compliant engine - although still and inline-four - has been heavily reworked, with a bore and stroke identical to the RC213V. With a semi-cam gear train; finger-follower rocker arms; titanium con-rods; RC213V-S internal friction reduction technologies; and piston jets with a check ball system, to say that Honda has gone all out on the engine of the latest ‘Blade is a serious understatement!

When all is said and done the new machine kicks out 160Kw (214hp) @ 14,500rpm and 113Nm torque @12,500rpm. the Fireblade is now a full-on member of the 200+bhp club!

Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP specs and pricing

The ‘hot’ version of the new Honda comes in at £23,499.

For the extra £3.5k, you’ll splash on the SP version of the new CBR you get electronically semi-active Öhlins suspension, Brembo Stylema calipers and a more track focussed suspension tuning interface. Oh, and of course that drool-worthy HRC paint job!
