WE’VE JUST landed in Turin, where tomorrow we’ll be riding two of KTM’s updated small-capacity Dukes – the 125 Duke and the 390 Duke, which were first shown to the world at Eicma last year

So what’s new?
Well, the styling has been brought in line with the updates given to the 2017 1290 Super Duke R, so both the 125 and 390 have been under the knife and made to look a lot sharper and more aggressive. At the front there’s a new LED headlight, while the rear is more aggressive thanks to a new subframe.
Both bikes have also been given a larger fuel tank – 13.4 litres up from 11. KTM says because of its size and shape, it offers a better point of contact for the rider.
Both models have received many of the same changes including a full colour TFT display, a relocated exhaust silencer (now on the right side of the bike, not under the engine), and new upside down WP fork.
But the 390 goes a step further than the 125, with a new ride-by-wire throttle, larger front brake disc, plus adjustable brake and clutch levers.
