Ducati has officially opened its new Adventure Academy at the off-road centre at Sweet Lamb in mid Wales.
The Ducati Adventure Academy brings Ducati off-road motorcycles such as the Multistrada V4 S, Multistrada V4 Rally, DesertX, and DesertX Rally to the 6,600-acre Sweet Lamb off-road centre, and combines those with Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) off-road tutoring.
Taking place on private land intended for motorsport use (its gravel roads are also used for rally testing), the Sweet Lamb DRE Adventure Academy offers four levels of off-road training, from Rookie to Level 3. A Rookie day costs £295, and a two-day adventure weekend will set you back £599.
With the arrival of the DRE Adventure Academy to Sweet Lamb, the Welsh facility has also added a Ducati hospitality area, with Lavazza coffee on-tap and lunch available throughout the day. Bookings are now available on the DRE Adventure website.
The Sweet Lamb DRE Adventure Academy was opened with a press event, which Visordown’s Matt Robinson attended. After his two days of thrashing a DesertX through the Welsh gnar, Matt said: “I was a little nervous beforehand, having never ridden a motorcycle off-road, but expert tuition, a well-thought-out syllabus and the approachable nature of the DesertX meant I was happily ripping along in no time at all.
