This weekend sees the launch of Honda's anniversary promotions for the Fireblade – marking 20 years since its introduction.
The firm has created a prize-draw web page at www.honda.co.uk/fireblade and for a chance to win you just need to fill in your details, after which you'll be given a code which you must take to a participating Honda dealer on August 11 before 2pm. The winner will be announced at 3pm on the 11th, and if they've hung around in the dealership until then they'll also be given 10 tickets to Motorcycle Live 2012. OK, so it's a bit of a faff, but if you end up with a new Blade it's probably going to seem worthwhile...
Anyone who turns up to their dealership that day on a Fireblade (presumably meaning they don't really need to win one) will get a mysterious-sounding 20th Anniversary Fireblade commemorative souvenir.
Honda is also asking people to upload pictures of Fireblades to the prize-draw web page and to vote for their favourite model from the bike's two decades of production. The uploaded pictures will eventually be turned into a mosaic image of the winning model from the vote, which will be made available as desktop wallpaper and appear on the Honda stand at Motorcycle Live 2012.
