One expensive repair bill

This is what a destroyed Ducati 1199 Panigale looks like, after South African superbike racer Chris Leeson lost the front end at turn one of the Kyalami circuit.

Although the same can't be said for the new and now mangled Ducati superbike, Leeson escaped the crash with minor bruising.

is it because there is no chassis on this bike that it gets trashed into pieces? any professional advise?

The chassis configuration had no bearing the in the result of this crash. Any bike irrespective of layout would have ended in an equally poor state.

However... if you look at the photos you can see that the single sided swingarm snapped while the front forks appear to have remain connected to the engine via the stressed airbox. Without closer inspection you can only assume that the airbox/headstock is intact.

Did you say loss of frount end hmmmmm wouldn't happen to be due to lack of feel from the front wheel would it??!?
