Things you'd rather not crash into: Part 1

As a teenager looking to build up your NCB, you'd prefer it if you didn't hit one of these

Lamborghini versus motorcycle

We're not sure how it happened, but we do know that the £200,000 Lamborghini Aventador pictured and the - let's be generous - £1000 motorcycle came together over the weekend near Imola, Italy.

We don't know who's at fault but it looks like the Lamborghini was pulling out and we suspect the motorcycle was coming past the line of cars down the cross-hatchings.

That's just a guess, but what we do know is the young motorcycle rider fled the scene and we don't suppose he'll be trying to get his bike back any time soon..

Makes no difference to me if it’s a Pagani Zonda or a Ford Focus. The last thing I’d be worried about in the even of a collision is the relative cost/exclusivity of the other vehicle involved.

Although... if it’s a low slung sports car as opposed to a relatively tall family car, or four wheel drive, or people carrier, you’re probably more likely to thrown over the vehicle than into it reducing the likelihood of serious impact injury...?

So, on second thoughts, if I realy had to, I’d rather hit the expensive one thank you very much. :)

one thing that has stuck with me is a piece of advice from a very old biking chum, he is well old and still hammers his velocette as if he was a teenager!!! He advised me to look at the wheels of a car waiting to pull out of a side road etc, not at the diver or the just the car in general. if you look at the driver you cannot guess what they might do, but the slightest rotation of the cars wheels means its going to pull out.

Yep, drivers will look straight through you & pull out anyway, them making eye contact doesn't mean they've seen you.

The wheels give it away that the cage is going to move, movement relative to the background at a junction says they are not going to stop fully.
