Retro crashes at The 'Ring

It was no safer back in the day. Quality cine clip captures some old school crashes at the Nurburgring

We've been laughing a lot in the office today. Mainly at this clip shot in the '60s at the Nurburgring. Check out all the cars and bikes losing it on what we reckon is a patch of oil. There are some heoric saves from bikers, while the cars roll all over the shop.

But best of all, look out for the guy who gets thrown out of his car, brushes himself down and goes to get back in again.

Imagine explaining how you soiled the inside and dusted the outside of your trousers to your mates when you get back to the car park...

That corner is really horrible, it sucks you into going into it much too fast... as I found out myself when I went there

MF

I particularly enjoyed the fishtailing Beetle Cabrio full of petrified passengers...

Ouch! From what I could see, none of those cars had seat belts fitted.
