Remember Microprose's GP500?

The ultimate GP500 setup.

Remember GP500? Still to this day the best motorcycle racing sim, I reckon. If you're on a budget, you can grab a copy for your PC and relive the old days. There's a fairly large community of fans who've grafted updated bikes into the game so you can wobble around on Lorenzo's M1 but if you're bored of Doohan's Repsol NSR500

Hpwever, if you want the ultimate setup, you need the NAMCO simulator.

After a bit of a dig around tinterweb, I found a 1-player simulator for - and I write this with my teeth clenched - £4,195.00. It features three circuits: Suzuka, Paul Richard and Jerez and you can ride the YZR500, NSR500 or RGV500.

It's what spare rooms are made for but if you're not daft enough to shell out for the NAMCO simulator, you could always download the Microprose PC sim.

I loved that game, spent hours playing it, it is the best bike game ever made. Would be good if they brought it out now with the same physics and updated graphics.

http://wxatgp500.co.uk/wxatdown/Index.htm -> plenty of Microprose GP500's mods, they may look awkward comparing todays standards but belive me, it's still addictive especially when using onboard real-like camera view! Try Laguna Seca, superb!

the second one, modern and realistic is GP Bikes from PiBoSo
http://www.gp-bikes.com/
which looks like GP500 'successor' and is very promising after trying the demo:)

There's also NetBikes - a well known NetKar game fork, very promising and very SBK2001 feels like:
