Nice bit of Simoncelli graffiti

If this was in the UK, the council would paint over it. Unless it was done by Banksy.

I spotted this decent bit of graffiti in Riccione while over in Italy for World Ducati Week. SuperSic was born just 15 minutes down the road in Cattolica but grew up in Coriano, just a few minutes from where this mural is.

Although Simoncelli's life was cut short before he could really deliver on his potential, you can really feel the love for him in the region where he grew up.

Misano's circuit has been renamed from Autodromo Santamonica to Autodromo di Marco Simoncelli. Coriano's sports facility has been renamed Palazzetto dello Sport Marco Simoncelli and one of the town's tram routes has had its number changed to 58 in his honour.
