Keanu Reeves on the Ducati Diavel

"It reminds me of old American muscle cars, with that huge rear tyre and the big gas tank. It's not aggressive, but it is big and bold and powerful."

Keanu Reeves recently took time out from filming his latest movie for GQ magazine by doing what he loves, riding motorcycles.

Back home in L.A Keanu has three Norton Commandos amongst his collection - a Fastback, a Roadster and an Interstate. For the shoot Keanu was tasked with ridng around the Chobham Test Track near Chertsey on the Ducati Diavel, commenting on the bike he said:

"I love this bike. I mean, you walk up to it and it has such striking lines. It reminds me of old American muscle cars, with that huge rear tyre and the big gas tank. It's not aggressive, but it is big and bold and powerful. What I really liked was the versatility. In the country you can have real fun cruising windy roads, but in town it is smooth and comfortable. And then on the track, it's just a beast."

"To be honest, I'm not used to bikes this quick. The Diavel goes from 0-60mph in under three seconds, man! Plus with all the technology on board, the ABS and all that, I mean, I didn't push it on the track, but it gives you lots of confidence. It's fun. You could ride this bike every day, you could take it on the track, but for me it would be perfect on smooth, twisty roads. Maybe in LA, or the south of France. That would be beautiful."

{Insert comment about not riding with a helmet}

I would love to be able to have a collection of bikes.

The thing that gets me about not riding w/ a lid isnt that he's not riding with a lid cos he's prolly going 20mph but his reasons WHY? Namely, to look cool :rolleyes: Granted, the photographer's probably the one who told him to ride sans lid but still!

It doesn't matter if you ride without a lid.... as long as you've got your super amazing protective designer jeans on.

he is Neo...he doesn't need a lid, he sees everything in bullet time.

lol lol
It's pretty obvious that the point of him not having a lid on is so people see keanu reaves on the bike. Not just another faceless person. The more important question should be, who cares what he thinks about bikes?

Atleast he looks less sad than usual these days, the guy gave up tons of his money to charity, not just your usual Hollywood actor, but he should be wearing a lid, he does normally, saw a vid of his bike being knocked over in Hollywood the other day, some bint in a giant Mercedes reversed into it. He was cool, just wanted too get away from the papparazzi storm, so rode off. Plus he is Mr. Anderson, sorry Neo!

i saw him ordering Diavel at MCN Motorcycle Show in London earlier this year.Didn't recognize him at the beginning as he looked like homeless person(long hair, long beard, weird looking clothes).I wouldn't be surprised if his visit was arranged by Ducati...anyway the most important it is very nice bike!
