OK, so it's not a bike, but this image from Ford's archive is a fantastic illustration of just how far the idea of datalogging has come over a few short decades.
Taken in the mid 70s, the picture shows how the firm used to do it. The Escort in front is being datalogged, the Cortina estate behind carries the datalogger. And yes, the two are physically wired together...
