Foggy vs. Edwards Monza 1999

Amid his own arrogance and disaster with Foggy Petronas Racing, it's easy to forget just how good Foggy was

Foggy was starting his long reign of success in WSB when I first got into bikes and he was a massive inspiration to me, when all I cared about was the riding. But over the years Foggy's battles with his opponents turned into bitter rants and snipes.

Where at one stage I used to scour the news to see what Foggy had been saying, I started to actively ignore him. So it's only when I was watching some old videos of Foggy in action that it hit home just how good he was. Forget the bullshit off the track, just check out this battle with Colin Edwards from Monza during the 1999 World Superbike Championship.

He really was that good.

Quality of racing inversely proportional to the quality of the commentary.
