battery and some dodgy fuel, the bike hasn't ever let me down. It's quick off the mark and you can be as ham fisted with it as you like, and it will never tip you off the back. Starts to get a bit wheezy above 80-85mph, but will take you another 20-30mph

two weeks and a shade over two thousand miles I've tried to give the Suzuki GSX-R1000 as good a thrashing as my pathetic skills could muster, with a track day, a 180 mile-an-hour blast down Bruntingthorpe's two-mile runway, daily commutes and a handful

. Apart from this glaring oversight, the main problems with the Hayabusa stem from its weight – a claimed 215kg dry – and this shows in its handling.Tipping into corners it feels top-heavy, flopping over on its side. On the roads the extra weight makes

as much of a surprise, I'm heading into a corner on Suzuki's new Hayabusa flat out in 6th gear after all...In the grand scheme of things I might be exaggerating a bit on this one. It's more of a kink than a full-blown corner, but when the speedo needle
