KTM and touring?Touring and KTM?And touring KTM?And KTM touring?Nope, it doesn't matter which way round I try it, it just doesn't compute or give that feeling of reality.Did you not see "The long way round" on TV? KTM's don't do touring, they said so on the program. Something like "they (the bikes I think) won't make it". I'd get a beemer and try asking your question again. :burnout: HTHHusky

Vassago wroteActually I've toured on a TZR 125 R (320 Km trip on 1 day), that basically is as confortable as a SM I reckon... It can be done... you just got to have the spirit! Couple of mates of mine done similiar trip on DTR and DT 50 LC. They where wheeling everywhere and only took B roads. Great fun they said! ahh, a true biker at last!the others are shandy drinking pufftas, lets start our own biking forum, 'real-men-tour-on-any-old shit.com' HEH HEH HEH

Touring the south of France will be a few more than 320kms It will be more like 3500kms at least, it's about 1500 kms from Nottingham to Marseille then the same back then the riding round while you are there. Even if he lives in Dover it's still gonna be a 3000 kms trip. You could do it on a pushbike with razor blades glued to the seat but I think I would do it on a sportsbike or a sports tourer if it were me. You would need another fortnight off work to recover Tour round the south of France on a DT50 departing from the UK and you will need a year off work to recover There is dedication and there is madness.
