little paul wroteI am 29, but was in a bike shop and some guy had a honda 250the seat was closer to my chestAt 29 you can do DAS and ride any bike you fancy. An old style SV650 will likely let you get both feet down. The problem for shorties is paddling backwards.

I'm 5'10.5" (where the half inch is all important) so practically a giant. However, last night when I returned to Stansted after 9 days not riding, I nearly dropped my very low 400, which i can get both feet flat and still wobble the bike under me, while trying to do a u turn. Felt SUCH a twat. Proof positive it is all in the mind.Anyway, welcome to the madhouse, shorty ride safe and careful at least until you're confident enough for fast.
Fuck off, 5'7" is TALL Plenty of choice of bikes at your size. Don't rely on measured seat heights, this doesn't really tell you very much about how manageable the bike will be for you. A load of other factors affect whether you 'fit' or not, including seat shape, width, weight and weight distribution, position of pegs, etc etc. Your weight also makes a difference, in how much the rear squats with you onboard.Best bet is to get down to the dealers, and try sitting on a few bikes, see what suits. At least all 125s are very light, which helps You laugh about high heels, but you can get boots which help, too. I have Daytona M-Star GTX boots, which have a built in thick sole, which adds an inch to leg length. You can't tell by looking at them, though Oh, welcome, by the way, from VDs resident PROPER shortie
