After careful consideration, I've reached the conclusion that road safety zealots need to be tied to a chair and beaten with a knotted rope. Preferably by an unsupervised and slightly disturbed person who enjoys that sort of thing. Or tied to the front of cars to act as a buffer if someone walks out in front of a motorist; that way they really could save lives. We could also call them Bullshitter Bars.
