I'm absolutely gutted to have to sell it mate, I had a lot of racing planned for this year. We need the money though, so it's got to go!
My NSR is now back up for sale and will defintely go this time. A few things have made my mind up that it's time to stop racing, and go back to road riding (old age, friends getting hurt racing and lack of cash)I'm looking for £2250 for the bike including all the parts but NOT including the Penske shock, or I would swap it all for a 600cc+ road bike, big naked bike preferred but not essential, PM me with what you've got!
The bike is a 1990 NSR 250 MC21 model, and has been used for 1 track day and 2 race meetings since I bought it in 2007. I raced the bike for two meetings with Thunderbikes last year, but it is eligable for F400 as well. I'm gutted to be having to sell it, but needs must.I have had it sprayed Rothmans colours and it looks great in the sunlight. It has never let me down at all. It is currently SORN'ed, but still has all the road parts with it except for a headlight and indicators, so it could easily go back on the road with a daylight MOT. For details of the bike, please have a read here: http://www.chappyracing.co.uk/nsr250.htm The only difference to how it looks in the pics is a small scuff on the "HONDA" sticker on the right side of the fairing from a very low speed off at the Hairpin at Cadwell. The crash bungs really did their job though. Viewing is definitely recommended, the candy paint looks brilliant in the flesh. I'm looking for offers around £2000 for the bike and including spare jets and sprockets. I do have a lot of other spares that any buyer would have first refusal on and I would do a very good deal for everything. If they dont want them I'll sell them seperately on the NSR forum. They include a brand new Penske racing shock, forks, wheels with disks, tyres, bars, levers, footrest assemblies etc etc. Cheers, Rob
