I would class a Playstation 3 as a computer and asking about it would be classed as help. Put them together and what have you got? (Apart from Playaway)

Charlie wroteI really don't care about the new Playstation. My PC is plenty enough for me...Impressive graphics though. What has, the PS3? Hardly. Heavenly Sword is the only game they have which approaches the target render promised at E3 2005, you'll notice they didn't even mention Killzone2 or Motorstorm, supposedly because it would have been embarassing to have them compared to what was promised a year ago.If you have an impressive screenshot of an in-game PS3 title then post it up, because I've yet to see one.PS3 graphics will likely be on a par with the 360's after developers have had a year to familiarise themselves with what it can do. Neither are currently any better looking than a good PC though.

absolutely the months are ticking on and there still aren't any XBox270 (w. fakie air) games that seem particularly next generational. I mean, I know the first batch of PS2 games were nothing compared to God of War, for example. (But GoW2 looks like it'll kick severe anus of anything so far on the X720 (w. faceplant). But the Playstation brand has such loyalty among games producers that it will have so many more exclusive games. In a recent Edge mag article, the biggie piggy companies, e.g. Electronic Arts, said that they were going to devote much more of their capital into PS3 games than X180 (with tailgrab), so expecting it to be a better selling machine, and with more processing horsepower. So it kinda seems like the PS3 already pwns teh X360, henceforth to be known as the Stalefish Shame it costs so much, but I can't see people choosing to save £100 or so knowing they're getting the inferior console.oh, and I'll be getting myself a wee too

Slenver wroteYou've mentioned this before but is future-proofing a bad thing? 720p TVs are now nearly the norm for new TVs and 1080is will only get more popular as they come down in price. Sky will be transmitting both formats very soon. This time last year Sony were promising dual 1080p outputs. Now only the premium PS3 will offer 1080p, and noone cares because we don't have any TVs capable of displaying it.Nooone's going to make games for 1080p, they'll all be 1080i (720p), at least for the next few years anyway. You may or may not be able to view Bluray movies in high def on a crippled 'tard' PS3, it remains to be seen. Same for the 360 of course, though they're hinting at HDMI over component cables...QuoteHow long was it since the last playstation (or Xbox) was launched? 5 years? At least. But it's time to move on and Sony are being univerally panned for resting on their laurals. I want them to succeed and make great first party games, Primal was great, but the industry thinks they're in trouble.

EA already make their games for the 360, the PS3 can only expect ports since XNA is aknowledged as being easier to use than whatever Sony's offering.Fact is, there are no exclusives any more, games cost too much to produce to make it otherwise. What does the PS3 offer you that you can't get with another console?
