National map centre caxton st london, but i belive they post.
Other than the scale problem, I think TuffMap hasn't updated the actual mapping for a few years now
Why do maps vary so much country to country? The only kind of map you'll easily find in germany is a massive fold out paper one. Hardly any use to motorists, let alone bikers. English maps tend to be a-z style, ie as a book. I have a brilliant map of Holland from a petrol station with a small scale map on the front and the pages marked on that, then tabs up the side. Also splash proof, if not proper water-proof.

Really, just buy a michelin and cut it into A4 sections and get each section laminated. Or get with the program and get some electronic mapping, Tom Tom or suchlike. Small, neat, conveniant and knows where you are even when you dont! Imagine being anywhere in the middle of nowhere and hitting navigate to _________ (type in your destination). Now add avoid motorways and toll roads. It'll take you there via some decent roads. :smoke:
Dodgy Geezer wroteI wouldn't bother. Seriously. The only ones I've seen have been the "Tuff Map" series, which in their Euro incarnation are far too small a scale to be of any use I would agree with DG.I had one of those Tuff Style maps and got lost around some small lanes near Hereford. It was a maze of roads and they werent listed on the Tuff map.

Shame they don't cover France in that scale Just buy Michelins, YKIMS
I wouldn't bother. Seriously. The only ones I've seen have been the "Tuff Map" series, which in their Euro incarnation are far too small a scale to be of any use When I tour, I buy a new small scale map each time and tear the pages out of it, and use the same Michelins for large scale as I always have. They've lasted at least 5 tours each so far and are still going strong The small scale map, I just treat as disposable. £8 a tour is next to nothing when set against the other costs
Dunno about where to buy them, but you could buy a michelin map and then cut it into sections. Take said sections down to your local Kall Kwik or suchlike and get them laminated. Job done. :smoke:
Check out amazon, they do the tuff maps quite cheaply. You can get the britain one and London Ato z And Europe. Cheapest place I have found is amazon.Good Luck
Try here, if they don't have it you won't get it:Ask for Martin if you speak to them, very helpful guy.www.mapsworldwide.com/Also get a waterproof map pocket from a camping store, theres a whole range of sizes available so you can fold the big maps up and show just the area you want.
