A disc lock is a waste of time
Luma Solido are good, rated ride best buy and ride recommended. They have 2 types, a pin lock which didnt fit my disc, or a conventional disc lock which fits anything. The pin lock was the best buy.
You can always park in the local NCP for £3 per day. Any more tips for disc locks? I'm currently relying on an Oxford Alarmed Boss lock and my bike alarm, would prefer something a bit more secure but can't afford another Almax
Where do you keep this KTM with only a disc lockJust asking, like Why not use a chain btw?
We use Abus Granit Victory locks (see examples here www.phoenixnw.co.uk/abus_disc_locks.html )You do need to be careful to make sure that the main pin of the device goes through your disc, though. Is there no room on the bike to stash a chain and padlock under the seat? On my KTM 950, I can just get a Squire chain and lock in, which is a big plus when touring.

Goodmorning , I am looking to upgrade my Disk Lock as i find that i'm out in London more & more these days and leave my bike (ktm 625) out of sight for longish periods of time .....I currently just stick an Oxford disk on the rear ,and was hoping that you kids might be able to recommend a lock that is a combination of easy to carry yet super sneaky secure too Thanks in advance
www.motrax.co.uk/index.php?page_name=product&product_id=1626Anyone tried one of these? Looks nice and small plus hard to tamper with. Tempted but motrax stuff seems to get rubbished a lot?I have a chain at work and a D-lock at home but something more portable would be good for me too. Are disc locks in general not very well regarded in terms of security though?
At home it is kept safer than fort knox ,And at work it is rather secure too but due to not having anyway of carrying a heavy chain on my bike when i'm out it's just a disk lock at the mo.

And if it gets knicked how much would the loss of no-claims and all the inconvienience cost you? Another Almax is starting to look like cheap by comparision, isn't it?.......
