stoo wroteHow much fucking care and attention do these pricks think it takes to balance a bike on its front wheel?A decent brief ought to have the pricks laughed out of court..... won't be cheap though. Aint that the truth!I think I might take Psychomoto dvd to court as evidence!

I should have said - my bit about what is due care etc only applies if you want to go the not guilty route. That'll be very expensive and probably doomed to failure since the copper is an "expert" on machine control and you aren't (in the court's view) Even if the copper isn't there, be warned - his statement will paint the grimmest picture possible. Including the wheelie...and scaring horses/kids/nuns

Go to court. Wear a nice suit and make sure you have all the relavent paperwork with you, correctly prepared as required. Be as eloquent as you can be, be respectful but not licky...You can choose to plead 'guilty with mitigation' which will give you the opportunity to say your piece. this is your chance to show your regret and explain how your panic braking on that new setup of yours caught you temporarily unawares, how proud of your clean licence you are and how silly you feel to be there wasting their valuable time. Not that I have any experience of this........Good luck.

New pads and hadnt worn in properly.my brother used to be a mechanic for vauxhall and when they fit new pads on the cars they have to take them out to bed them in but only on empty roads, my brother locked the wheels up let them go and got pulled over, he explained to the copper thats what happens he had no choice. Back to the garage with the copper in go trying to get him in shit, he speaks to "lance owen" who owns the garage and had to leave feeling silly!Anyway basic thing is new pads will grip in a funny way even on a bike, might be worth getting some proof from somewhere and taking it to court, was the road empty? Good place to test the brakes then wasnt it? You know for safetys sake as its better than testing them in an emergency!HTH
