Whilst we're on the subject of numberplates, what's the deal with the older style White/Silver-on-Black plates? Are they legal, and if not what are the odds of getting pulled over by the law these days? Am I right in presuming that if my bike came with the new style black-on-yellow and I fitted the old style aftermarket it would be an MoT failure?
